  The Southern University Flood Relief Fund has been established to assist University students and employees that have been significantly impacted by the recent widespread area flooding.  Called the worst flooding in the history of Baton Rouge, a tropical storm dumped more than 31-inches of rain in 15-hours leaving thousands of people homeless and closing down churches. Rev. Jackson appealed for help. Rev. Mark Ellis, a local Baton Rouge pastor, said nearly 1 million people have been affected in Louisiana. www.slfda.org
